In memory...

Welcome to the revamped and brand spanking refurbished website. For now it is going to be devoted to Jungle Payne's music. Thanks for stopping by.

I transferred/recorded these as faithfully as I could. There is obvious tape hiss and I chose to leave it alone as trying to remove it made the recordings a bit muddy. I also noticed that they were not all necessarily from the same session/location as there were some differences in quality between performances.

I did, however, warm them up with some mastering software that gave it a nice feel even with the hiss. I have posted them here in the exact order on the cassette.

These performances were recorded from Jungle's Walkman circa 1986.

I am truly amazed at the range of influences that come through Jungle's music. I hear Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Jackson Brown, Paul McCartney, and Neil Young, to name just a few. It was how he made everything his own, with his own unique spin. But that's what he was about. Spinning wheels.
